AND MARKETING MANAGER-INSTITUTIONAL SALES -PSI SUDAN JUBA (Permanent Position
- Southern Sudanese Level 2)
PSI Sudan has grown rapidly to a staff of more than 60 with programs in
Malaria (LLITNS, PPT), Diarrheal disease (POU Water, ORS), HIV, MCH and
new initiatives related to Zinc.

Population
Services International (PSI) is a global organization working with more
than 1,000 partners in over 60 countries, focusing on improving the health
of Southern Sudanese communities, is looking for a highly qualified and
experienced Sales and Marketing Manager. Based in Juba, the successful
candidate will report to the PSI Sudan Country Representative (CR)
Sales and Marketing Manager
The Sales and
Marketing Manager is responsible for improving strategies, systems, policies
and procedures to develop appropriate Institutional Sales for PSI Sudan.
Responsibilities
" Represent PSI and PSI's products and services to both private,
public and non-profit organizations and individuals
" Manage the entire sales department, develop sales department work
plans, travel schedules, sales targets, determine incentive compensation
and then ensure sales team achieves targets.
" Build relationships with wholesalers, retailers and institutions
in order to increase product sales and identify new opportunities for
growth.
" With the Country Representative and Program Managers set personal
sales targets for institutional sales and achieve those.
" Work with the MIS department to accurately capture sales trend
data and utilize this for improved targeting and vendor relations.
" With the Program Managers organize low cost promotions and implement
these as appropriate.
" Ensure that all sales activities and targeting are closely linked
to health area activities.
" Oversee the development of all POS material, in conjunction with
the Communications Manager and actively participate in Brand Promotion
strategies and activities.
" Work with the Government of South Sudan in registering and approving
products, brand names, product imports, product instructions of use and
handling
" Prepare documentation for the registration of PSI products as required
" Oversee the merchandising and placement of PSI products for maximum
availability in vendor outlets
" Expand PSI brand penetration to high risk areas and FMCG outlets.
" Oversee the recruitment and training of new vendors
" Oversee the development of product specific educational material
for vendors
" Develop good working relationships with the MOH State offices and
their respective
Governors to ensure smooth operations for PSI within the states
" Maintain an up to date vendor list
" Assist with other duties as required
Deliverables
" Monthly sales department reports submitted to the Country Representative
which include: current sales activities to wholesalers and retailers disaggregated
by location, sales agent, vendor and product
" Updated Marketing Plan for each product on a yearly basis
" Up to date Operational Manual for the sales department
" Clear product and brand registration procedure, including for pharmaceuticals,
to be included in the Policies and Procedures for PSI Sudan.
" With the County Representative and Program Managers set sales targets
and manage sales staff to meet those targets yearly.
" Set Institutional Sales targets and ensure these targets are met,
revising targets as needed and as agreed with the Country Representative
" Expand geographical coverage of PSI Sudan's products to areas not
previously reached.
" Manager relationships with vendors and increase coverage through
vendors.
" Manage the placement of POS, Brand advertising and Promotional
Events, in conjunction with appropriate PSI Departments.
