Population
Services International Sudan(PSI Sudan) is a non-profit social marketing
organization, operating in seven states across Southern Sudan. PSI Sudan
creates demand for essential health products and services by using private
sector marketing techniques and innovative communications campaigns. On
the supply side, PSI Sudan works with the commercial sector to increase
the availability of these products and services at prices that are affordable
to low-income populations. Current programs involve interventions on HIV/AIDS,

Research
Manager
Applications
are invited from suitable candidates to fill the post of Research Manager,
to be based in Juba with travel to field sites.
Responsibilities
" Organize
and manage large-scale research projects, both quantitative and qualitative,
including sampling, study design development, implementation, and analysis.
" Design
qualitative studies to develop communication concepts, pretest communication
strategies, and evaluation programs
" Use
data analysis to make targeted and effective recommendations for program
development
" Write
reports and deliver presentations to internal and external stakeholders;
" Document
and disseminate research findings through publication and other methods;
" Establish
networks of information collection and sharing, and strengthening overall
M&E capacity;
" Increase
the capacity of program staff to participate in the 'backward research'
design methodology and interpret research results to guide programmatic
decisions and activities
Applicants
should meet the following conditions and qualifications:
" Sudanese
National
" Fluency in spoken and written English, as well as excellent abilities
in Juba Arabic
" Quantitative research skills, including quality assurance of quantitative
survey questionnaires
" Experience working with logistics and operations in Southern Sudan
" Experience organizing and managing large-scale research projects,
both quantitative and qualitative.
" Experience in sampling and study design development and implementation
" Proven experience in developing monitoring and evaluation systems
for programs working in behavior change
" Experience organizing and managing projects that involve full time
and temporary employees or volunteers in Southern Sudan
" Proven ability to develop and manage project to agreed upon time
lines
" Experience working with behavior change programs beneficial
" Computer skills mandatory (Microsoft Word, Excel email). Data entry
skills using SPSS preferred.
" Ability to represent PSI Sudan at meetings with stakeholders and
local authorities
" Ability to demonstrate initiative, creativity, dedication and flexibility.
